Her performances in Guiding Light as Marina Cooper and Dawson's Creek as Marcy Bender are the most well-known of her roles. She was in two episodes of Showtime's Weeds with Mary Louise Parker. She is known for her roles as Judy Kramer in Point Pleasant the 2005 show on Fox and as Marcy Bender in the Dawson's Run series. On the Guiding Light soap opera, Dollar was Marina Cooper. This role brought her an award nomination by Soap Opera Digest in 2003 for Outstanding Newcomer. Between 2007 and 2008 Dollar starred as Cindy Thomas on the ABC show Women's Murder Club. Dollar was a part of the 2012 NBC series pilot Happy Valley which was not taken up.
