Richard B. Cheney an eminent public servant and entrepreneur is vice president of the United States. Cheney has been a prominent person in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the fourth president which he was a part of. Bush named Cheney his vice-presidential runningmate in 2000, due to the shrewdness and wisdom of Cheney. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of presidents, served in Congress, and he was Secretary of Defense. Both Republicans as well as Democrats respect him for his honesty. Cheney is of the opinion that his work in the Bush administration is to serve as an honest and discreet advisor. Cheney expressed excitement about accepting the Republican vice-presidential nod. He said that he is looking forward working with a leader who can be a team player with individuals of differing political opinions and who share shared goal. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he emigrated together with family members from Nebraska to Casper located in western region of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father ran the local district of soil conservation to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
